Genuine Canon battery confirmed Always on the lookout for fakes, my battery was bought four days ago from this listing. It passed the recommended packaging and visual examination tests. It charged up using the original Canon charger in about an hour and a half. My new Canon EOS 80D confirms the battery is a genuine Canon item – very good at today’s price (£52.99); I was not prepared to risk a £7.50 “compatible” on a brand new £1250 camera!

Better than the cheaper E6? Debateable! Ridiculously expensive, as are all camera manufacturers genuine batteries. However having tried a substitute make previously, which simply didn’t last long, this is preferable to having a spare battery which is unexpectedly flat! These are much dearer than the LP E6 standard battery, which can also be used, and I am undecided as to whether the extra capacity of these is really needed unless you do an awful lot of pictures. So for performance 5 stars, but 1 knocked off for cost!

it seems to charge better than my original as well but I believe this … The price is incredibly daunting but it’s such a trusty backup, it’s the most reliable battery i’ve bough for my 7D, i’d only need this one and the original to guarantee and entire day of shooting, it seems to charge better than my original as well but I believe this one is an upgrade from the original, I read some people talking about it being fake versions, fake or not it’s performance is everything you’d need, i’ve bought batteries in the past that would lost almost half it’s battery life…
