Nice back up for a DLSR I have been looking for years for a compact camera that delivers DSLR performance, and this camera just about gets there. Bad stuff first – battery life isnât good (but seems to be getting better), the lens cap is annoying and it is expensive.But it does delivery on picture quality, especially in low light, I like the touch screen, and it is much smaller and lighter than a DLSR, which also means itâs a lot more discreet.Will it replace my DLSR? No, but I will use it a lot,
Very pleased – would buy it again. Excellent quality photos. I tend to use aperture priority mode most of the time to control the depth of field when landscape shooting. Or if using auto I use spot focus instead of range.I took it on a trip to Portugal rather than carry around my Nikon bodies and lenses. Soon got used to the Canon menu functions – once I had downloaded the camera manual.I was slightly concerned that the zoom may be a bit short – but photos are such excellent quality you can zoom in and crop and still…
