didn’t disappoint. I read all the previous reviews and hummed and hah’d before getting this lens. I did the right thing! Prior to this I had been using a D7000 with various fixed lenses and the kit lens, but when I went full frame to a D700 I wanted a lens that I didn’t have to faff on changing when out on expeditions. I’m not a pro, so it’s perfect for most of what I need to do, and other than my macro lens, stays put on the 700. Yes it’s all bigger and heavier but I’m a lil’ ol’ lady and I can manage it quite…

‘Top Quality’ Do It All Lens. Paired With Nikon D750. I Bought this lens for my Nikon D750 & have to say it works a treat with some fantastic images. Froze passing 80mph motorway traffic like it was standing still in sport mode. Pictures were crisp and sharp and full of colour. Has a great range. Its a bit on the heavy side especially on the D750 but thats the price you pay for decent glass. Highly recommended.

Great This is a great full-frame walkabout lens, for those who don’t want to lug big heavy lenses whilst they’re on the move. Sure it’s not perfect, and there are distortions at the lower end of the zoom range, and it’s not ideal for low-lighting conditions, but it is capable of excellent results. If you want to see typical images, I suggest that you take a look at the stuff that users have posted on the Nikon 28-300 user group on Flickr.
