It’s a £10 dust cover! Nikon BF-1B Body Cap for SLR – Fits on my camera, unsurprisingly as it’s a Nikon DSLR, and does exactly what it states; it’s a body cap! It’s also a bloody fortune (£9.99 GBP) for a bit of moulded plastic! Love Nikon kit, hate the extortionate cost of their accessories, but can’t fault the quality.

Does the job! Does exactly what is says on the tin and I find it better to have a spare one or two in the kit bag for those times when the original is misplaced or lost, prevents the ingest of dust and the likes when the lens is removed, and the camera is lighter and easier to handle without a lens attached when making any menu adjustments to the body. Expensive for what they are but I feel happier carrying a spare………………never lost one yet, but there’s always a first time eh!.

Perfect fit. Fits perfectly. When got it out of packaging, I thought it was going to be too small. Looks can be deceiving!
