I thought about it for a long time, as I still have my middle-aged Sony R-1 which is still a good camera with a superb lens. Excellent camera I bought this camera to replace my ageing D40 and and very happy I did. It does everything the D40 did but better! A top quality product that produces excellent photographs – assuming you know what you’re doing of course. A huge array of options for complete manual control and a decent point-and-click auto mode for quick shots – if you buy this I must stress that you really should put the effort in to learn how a camera works in fully manual mode, it’s such a waste when these cameras are…
