Doubled the memory on my Sony Xperia phone for peanuts Upgradeable storage – it’s the big appeal of Android right? When I was searching for my new phone, I was torn between the Xperia compact or the OnePlus 5t. The big difference (other than price!) was that the OnePlus had an option for 128GB storage. Since I take a lot of photos, I thought I’d better opt for the larger size – but was persuaded by a friend to get the smaller phone and simply upgrade via SD card. I’m so glad I did!Hard to believe that this tiny little card…
Good card Bought this for my Lenovo 110S running Lubuntu 17.10.First I ran it through the F3 memory checker and it checked out as valid, correct size, no missing blocks, no bad blocks, AOK. F3 which writes and reads into the filesystem gave speeds of 78.4Mb/s read and 23.4Mb/s write. That is the real performance of the card as part of the system. The Lubuntu benchmark program gave raw speeds of 81.1Mb/s read and 30.7Mb/s write, slightly faster just as you would expect.
Only use as a storage card Bought two of these for use in security cameras and one card failed after 3 weeks and now the second card stopped working for no reason. Have never known genuine Scan Disk items fail like this before.
